Onboard the latest resupply mission to the International Space Station (ISS) in December, there were very special pieces of hardware made by QinetiQ and called Transparent Alloys Cartridges (TAC). They flew inside the Dragon spacecraft, on top of the Falcon 9 rocket that marked the 19th mission for SpaceX under its commercial cargo resupply mission to the ISS. The Transparent Alloys instrument aims at hosting experiments in the field of material science and more specifically, in the field of alloys.
